Hello fellow tennis fans and welcome to Cupcakes and Tennis, the tennis blog with a sweet spot. I started writing the blog in May 2009 when I was in Paris for Roland Garros. For me that was the beginning of a year of travel and research for a novel I am writing, a tennis novel, and a friend suggested I write a blog about my experiences. I went to all the Grand Slams for a year and blogged, and wrote, and am still writing, the novel. When I have written the novel, past tense, and it is in a form you can buy and read, trust me, I will let you know.
Meanwhile, the blog continues. After the travel year was over and I was back to watching tennis on television, for the most part, I discovered I still wanted to write about it. Wimbledon was on, Isner and Mahut were making history, and I was at the keyboard. I love the game, and I found out I also love writing about the game.
My name is France Temkin. I live in Santa Fe now, have lived and traveled in many parts of the world including the Middle East, Europe and Hawaii. I recently started a new endeavor, a website revision service. You can visit my website at www.reviseyourwebsite.com for more information.
Food is a passion of mine, as is photography, so you’re sure to see and hear about both of those things mixed in with the tennis. I welcome your comments, love to know what other people are thinking about, enjoying about tennis, so please do feel free to be in touch. I try to respond to each person.
And you can follow on Twitter as well, at CCandTennis.
